I’m a Paralympian swimmer who competed at the Rio Paralympic Games, the IPC World Championships, the Pan Pacific Championships, and the 2022 Commonwealth Games, where I won bronze in the S13 50m Freestyle. I’m also a strength & conditioning coach and a swimming coach, and my passion in sport is to inspire and educate others to reach their full potential. There are no shortcuts — just hard work.

Jacob Templeton - True Protein Ambassador

How True products fuel my health and fitness goals

True Protein has been one of my biggest supporters in my athletic and health & fitness journey. I love the HASTA range which, as an athlete, allows me to fuel and recover from vigorous training, all while knowing the products are clean and safe. True's WPI90 and Creatine Mono are personal favourites, and have allowed me to reach peak performance while optimising recovery.

Favourite True products

  1. WPI90 in French Vanilla: The mixability of True's WPI is next level, and the vanilla flavour can be paired with something as simple as water to ensure I get my 30g of protein post-workout.

  2. Creatine Mono: Creatine Mono has allowed me to maximise my short-burst efforts, particularly later in my athletic career when transitioning to sprint events. It has enabled me to take the next step to achieving my goals.

  3. Singlet Range: I am always training and in the gym, and as a result I need to feel and look good in the gym. True’s singlet range is the go for me, with so many colours to suit my mood.

  4. Electrolytes in Lemon Burst: Living in Queensland, I'm always hot and sweaty, and am always needing to replenish my fluid and electrolytes. The flavour of lemon burst is incredible, and this product easily mixed with water to fuel my training.

What motivates me

What motivates me is knowing that I am definitely not the best swimmer or athlete, but I am willing to work harder than anyone to achieve my goals. There should be no shortcuts in sport, and I want to inspire others into believing that they can achieve their goals as well.

My proudest achievement

My proudest achievement is winning bronze at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, which was off the back of not being chosen for the 2021 Tokyo Games. This was heartbreaking for me, however after one more year of hard work I was able to stand on that podium in Birmingham.

My favourite True value

Be Better - this value is particularly important to me because I feel that everybody can get complacent, but striving to be better is what will push us to the next level to achieve new heights.
