In 2023, we proudly made the decision to go plastic scoop free - a change driven by valuable feedback from our customers and our ongoing efforts to improve. While plastic scoops offer convenience, we recognised they’re not essential, and the environmental benefits of removing them far outweigh the convenience they provide.
By going plastic scoop-free across our range, we’re taking significant steps to reduce waste and champion a more sustainable future. This initiative alone removes 7.5 tonnes of plastic from our supply chain each year, reinforcing our promise to Be Better and making a meaningful difference to our planet. Although the decision wasn’t easy, it marks a proud and essential milestone in our sustainability journey.
Ease of Use
Our packaging has been updated to reflect our decision and clearly states exact weight (grams) and international metric measurements (tsp & tbsp), as does our website. We chose to express our serving sizes in this format in order to make them universally accessible.
Please note that tablespoon measurements may vary slightly between products because the density of each powder is different (for example, our Plant Protein is a heavier/denser powder than our WPI 90). This means that a tablespoon may hold slightly different amounts depending on the powder. To ensure you're scooping the correct amount, refer to the product label for the correct serving size OR for the most accurate measurement, we have always recommended using a kitchen scale.
Sustainable Scoops
If you don't already own any standard measuring utensils or are unfamiliar with this process, we'd recommend our sustainable True Stainless Steel Scoop Set. These scoops use standard metric measurements and can be used to measure all True products as well as in everyday cooking or baking. These are a set of 3 branded scoops in an eco-bag, making them ideal for storage and travel. They also come with a handy table recommending scoop serving suggestions for our top products.
Guide:
- Large Scoop: 2 tbsp, 30ml
- Medium Scoop: 1 tbsp, 15ml
- Small Scoop: 1 tsp, 5ml
Please note: When using these scoops for True products, you can disregard the ml measurements. All our products are measured in grams or spoonfuls.
Product Consistency
We want to assure you that the serving sizes and formulations of our products remain unchanged. You can continue to enjoy the same high-quality and effective supplements you have come to trust and rely on.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I measure my product?
Our packaging provides the exact weight (grams) and international metric measurements for easy and accurate usage. You can use scales, tablespoon measures you already have at home, True Stainless Steel Scoops, your old True teal scoops and of course, kitchen spoons (note this method will not be as accurate). The measurements can also be found on the product pages on our website.
Are there alternative options for measuring the product besides the sustainable scoops?
Yes, you can also use standard measuring utensils or kitchen scales for precise measurements.
Has the removal of plastic scoops impacted the product price?
No, the removal of plastic scoops has not affected the price of our products.
What prompted the decision to remove plastic scoops and prioritise sustainability?
Our decision was driven by customer feedback and our commitment to sustainability. By eliminating plastic scoops, we can reduce waste and minimise our environmental footprint, creating a positive impact on the planet. This is a (relatively) small but important step in our sustainability pathway, and we will continue to make changes throughout our business to do our part in environmental responsibility.
Why are Plant Protein and WPI 90 servings both 30g yet they differ in the tablespoon measurements?
Although both products have a 30g serving size, their different densities mean that the number of tablespoons needed for each may vary. This is because Plant Protein and WPI 90 have different textures and compositions, affecting how much fits into a tablespoon.
What do the tablespoon and teaspoon measurements refer to?
These measurements refer to a level spoonful, not a heaped one, to ensure accurate serving sizes.
Does the 30ml on the True Stainless Steel Scoops equal 30g?
No, the 30ml measurement on the True Stainless Steel Scoops does not necessarily equal 30g. The weight in grams can vary depending on the product's density. It's important to refer to the product-specific serving size in grams.
Why does my packaging mention a True scoop?
If your product mentions a 'True scoop,' it may be using our older packaging, which referred to our previous teal plastic scoop. For the most up-to-date directions and information, please refer to the product pages on our website.
